This IBR infographic highlights the results of its groundbreaking poll on the expectations of Iranians on responsible business. The poll provides extensive insight into Iranians’ attitudes and expectations regarding company behaviour and impacts. The poll was conducted via telephone interviews with 1,004 Iranians living in urban settings across the country in November 2017. The results show that Iranians are deeply concerned about the impact of business on people and the environment and believe companies have a responsibility to ensure both are respected in the context of their activities. Thus, as foreign companies operating in Iran look to comply with international responsible business standards, they will also be responding to local expectations.
